| Earthquake/Disaster Preparedness |
- California is an era of increasing seismic activity, with damaging earthquakes occurring, on an average, every two years. Experts agree that many Californians are unprepared to deal with the damage that will occur in the even of such a tremor
- Disaster can strike quickly and without warning. Be prepared to be on you own for at least 72 hours.
- Your chances of survival are increased tremendously if you know what to do before, during and after the quake.
|
| Evacuation for Business and Schools |
- Schools, day care centers, and colleges need to prepare for a major damaging earthquake. In such an event, school administrators and teachers will have to be self sufficient - relying on their own resources to protect and care for the student population until outside assistance is available.
- The potential havoc an earthquake can create for a business and its employees can be avoided if sufficient preparedness measures are taken. A flexible and broad emergency preparedness play for your business could be the difference between survival and continued productivity and destruction.

| Smoke Detector Maintenance and Testing |
- 86% of homes in the U.S. have at least one smoke detector. One third of these are not working. Most failures are attributed to lack of annual battery replacement.
- The chances of dying in a residential fire are reduced by one half if a smoke detector is properly installed and tested monthly.
- Smoke detectors are required by law in all dwelling units.
