• Homes with roofs made of non combustible materials or roofs treated with fire retardant chemicals significantly reduce the possibility of ignition by fire.

• Clearly defined and posted house numbers are a necessity to responding emergency units in locating a residence.

• Biannual pruning and weeding of shrubbery and vegetation near to and around the home, especially in rural areas, can greatly reduce the chances of a fire spreading to your home.
