Station 9 is located in the community of Mentone and is staffed daily with one full-time Captain, one Paramedic Engineer, and one Limited Term Firefighter. There is also a paid call company based out of station 9. The crews at Station 9 respond a Type 1 structure engine, and a Type 3 brush engine.

In addition to responding to calls in Mentone, Forest Falls, and the surrounding unincorporated areas; station 9 responds mutual aid into Redlands and Yucaipa and up Highway 38 to assist the U.S. Forest Service. 

The firefighters at Station 9 are proud to participate with the Mentone Elementary School in the annual children's Christmas present dive where approx. 400 children receive gifts.
