SBC Fire Station 8 - Lucerne Valley

Station 8 is located in Lucerne Valley. Daily staffing is one Captain, one Paramedic Firefighter, one Engineer, and one Limited Term Firefighter (LT). This station houses an ICS Type 1 structure engine, an ICS Type 3 brush engine with four-wheel drive, one Ambulance outfitted with Advanced Life Support equipment, and a water tender for additional rural water needs on fires. There is a paid-call firefighter program here to augment the regular staffing when needed. The crews here also mentor a Fire Explorer program.

In addition to the geographically large Lucerne Valley area, Company 8 protects Highway 18, the road to Big Bear, and Highway 247, the route to Yucca Valley.
