The Oak Hills Station is located at the top of the heavily traveled Cajon Pass facing the I-15 freeway.  This station is staffed daily with a full-time Captain, full-time Firefighter Paramedic, and a paid-call firefighter (PCF).  There are often additional Paid-Call personnel available locally via pager to staff a second unit if needed. Two vehicles are located here: Brush Engine 40 is an ICS Type 3 Fire Engine, Brush Patrol 40 (BP40) is an ICS Type 4 Engine with 4 wheel drive which is sometimes referred to in other departments as a "Quick Attack" or "mini-pumper".  The Amkus tool (also known as the "Jaws of Life") and Paramedic gear are carried on the primary response vehicle.

Company 40 responds to the rapidly growing community of Oak Hills with many large custom homes and is responsible for protection of the I-15 corridor from Highway 138 in the middle of Cajon Pass North to the Hesperia city limits and Highway 395. Since Hesperia is also part of County Fire, BE40 and units from Hesperia frequently assist each other in and out of the city limits based on the closest resource concept.  Other areas served include Baldy Mesa, West Cajon Valley, and Summit Valley.
