This station is home to twelve career firefighters (3 Captain, 3 Engineers, 3 Firefighter Paramedics and 3 LT firefighters) working a traditional 56-hour work shift. The station houses one Type I Engine Company, one Water Tender, and one modular Ambulance and two reserve engines. This station serves the Yucca Mesa area north of the town proper and responds to incidents in Landers, Johnson Valley, Pioneertown, and Joshua Tree. Units from Station 122 assist the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection on all SRA lands west of Highway 247.
