San Bernardino County residents benefit from one of the most extensive household hazardous waste programs in the nation.  The success of this program can be attributed to current technical and regulatory information, a commitment to pollution prevention, recycling, and reuse, high quality and continuous training, and extensive partnerships with local city agencies that operate collection facilities.

This page is a tool for our partner Household Hazardous Waste Managers to share and access public information about special events, facility developments, training opportunities, safety information, and other resources for safely and efficiently managing hazardous wastes generated from San Bernardino County households.

This page will continue to be developed and updated to meet the needs of Household Hazardous Waste Managers, and we invite our colleagues to email our program with suggestions for further developing this page.

Please note the following resources:

Latex paint is recycled and non-profit organizations, residents, and neighborhood cleanup groups can use this recycled paint. See bucket label (pdf) for basic instructions. The reusable 5-gallon buckets are available for $5.00 and the paint is free.
