August - San Bernardino County Fire Engineer Ronald Scott Reed went to be with the Lord on August 18, 2011 after a valiant battle for 3½ years with fire service related renal cell carcinoma.

Ron, “Ronbo”, age 50, dedicated 22 years of his life to the fire service and serving others. Ron started his fire service career as a Paid-Call Firefighter with the Victorville Fire Department, later hiring on full-time with Adelanto Fire, and then serving the majority of his career with San Bernardino County Fire. Ron was last assigned as an Engineer at Station 94 in Lake Arrowhead.

Memorial Services
The San Bernardino County Fire Department, San Bernardino County Firefighter’s Association and IAFF Local 935 announce plans to celebrate and honor the life of their fallen colleague with a full fire service memorial.

Date/Time: Wednesday, August 31st, 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Memorial Service
Date/Time: Thursday, September 1st, 10:30 a.m.
Location: High Desert Church, 14545 Hook Blvd., Victorville, Ca. 92394

Procession
Memorial service will be followed by a processional to the Desert View Memorial Park, 11500 Amargosa Road, Victorville, Ca. 92392, for a graveside service.

Reception
A reception will take place immediately following the graveside service at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds, 14800 7th St., Victorville 92395.
