Oct. 21 – Rescue personnel extracted a car from a steep rocky mountainside off the side of Highway 330.

The California Highway Patrol was alerted to the fatal crash at 10 a.m. on Oct. 21 and upon responding, emergency personnel found the man's 1990 Mercedes Benz upside down about 150 feet down the side of the highway. The vehicle rolled down the side of the highway and landed on its roof. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.

The San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the incident as did the cities of San Bernardino and Redlands, the California Highway Patrol and The U.S. Forest Service.
