November 3 - Deputy Fire Marshal Mike Horton, Captain Britt Sipe and Larita Manalili were honored by the Board of Supervisors for their accomplishment in completing the Management & Leadership Academy. This year long management development course provides supervisors with the skills and knowledge needed to successfully transition into management positions. The Academy is an opportunity to both develop professional and personal leadership skills and build long-term professional relationships. The course concluded with a graduation ceremony held on November 4th.

In 1996, the County established this Management & Leadership Academy to provide comprehensive management and leadership training to County employees. Those participating in MLA gain theoretical and practical knowledge of public service management and leadership practices, with specific emphasis on understanding their application within San Bernardino County.
