The San Bernardino County Fire Department Ski and Snowboard Team came home from the Fire / Police Winter Olympics at Mammoth Mountain with their 5th consecutive Team Gold Medal. With teams from as far away as Austria and Australia, County Fire dominated the 4 days of competition. The snowboarders were led by Erik Dahlberg’s Gold medal run in the Giant Slalom to go with his Slalom Silver and Super G Bronze medals, Nick McAtee added a Silver medal in the Super G and 3 Bronze medals. In alpine skiing, Josh Wilkins won Silver in the Slalom and Bronze medals in Dual Slalom and Super G for 3rd place overall, while Dave Melton turned in a 4 Gold medal sweep in his age class and a 4th place overall finish along with a Silver medal in the 3K Nordic race. Darrayl Felgar bagged a pair of Gold medals in the 3K Nordic race and Giant Slalom to go with Bronze medals in Dual Slalom and Super G in his class.
