December 8 – San Bernardino County firefighters extinguished a tractor trailer fire on northbound I-15 just north of Palmdale Rd. in Victorville. The semi truck overturned during a traffic collision involving three other vehicles. Three victims received serious injuries and were treated by County Fire paramedics. One victim was then airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center; the other two were transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and Desert Valley Hospital. A County Fire Hazardous Materials team controlled a diesel spill that flowed onto a surface street adjacent to the freeway. The California Highway Patrol is conducting the investigation.
